Eusébio da Silva Ferreira, commonly known as Eusébio, was a Portuguese professional footballer who is considered one of the greatest footballers of all time. He played as a forward and is best known for his time with the Portuguese club Benfica and the Portuguese national team. Eusébio was born in Mozambique in 1942 and began his professional career with Sporting Lourenço Marques, a team in Mozambique.

In 1960, he moved to Benfica and quickly became a star player, leading the team to numerous domestic and international successes. Eusébio was known for his incredible speed, skill, and goal-scoring ability. He won the European Golden Boot award twice and was the top scorer in the 1966 World Cup, where he led Portugal to a third-place finish. Eusébio retired from professional football in 1979 and passed away in 2014. He is remembered as one of the greatest footballers in history and a true legend of the sport.
