Whats the Big Idea?

For those who are not familiar, Elance recently hosted a competition where start-up companies submitted their ideas on how they would utilize $2,500 in Elance credits. Out of over 800 companies worldwide, only forty semi-finalists remain, spread across seven different locations. Can you guess which company is among the forty? It’s none other than SignTech paperless solutions! If you’ve been following my blogs, you already know that SignTech is not just about innovative ideas, but also about making a positive impact on the planet. Participating in the Elance competition is our way of showcasing our values to the world. We were fortunate enough to be chosen by the judges at Elance from the submissions worldwide.

Elance Credits Awarded to SignTech to use for our Project 

As a start-up, we were granted $2,500 in Elance credits to use for our project. On January 30, 2014, we will pitch our final project to the judges in eight local competitions. We are keeping our fingers crossed that SignTech will be among the eight finalists. The eight finalists will then compete and present their companies and final products in an online competition on February 6, 2014. You are all invited to join this online competition, as it will be interesting to see what the other participants come up with and perhaps find some inspiration of your own.

The Grand Prize winner will receive a substantial amount of Elance credits (hopefully us!) and an online meeting with venture capitalists. The announcement of the Grand Prize winner will be made on the Elance blog on February 7, 2014. At this moment, SignTech Paperless Solutions is one of the forty semi-finalists. However, the Elance credits are not the only thing we are excited about. Rackspace is offering all five semi-finalists £15,900 worth of Rackspace Cloud Hosting credits!

We have put in a lot of hard work and are optimistic about being announced as the Grand Prize winner. So, keep an eye out for the Elance blog on February 7th!
